Snoop-A-Loop

While I was away from work for a week, someone broke in to my computer. I say "broke in" because there' s no other way to put it. Friday, before I left, I shut the damn thing down (read: completely off, including the monitor)... knowing I would be absent for 9 days and not needing to use it. Oh, and I'm sure I wanted to save electricity too. Anyway, I get back in to work and it's turned on. First indication something is amiss. CTRL-ALT-DEL to log in, and my password doesn't work. I've been fired, haven't I? No, they probably would have let me go before I went on vacation for a week, right? I try several different passwords which I've used since first using this machine. No dice. Then I try the initial password given to me by my fuck ass manager - and behold - it works. So, my password has been reset. Awesome. I check the user logs and find out my computer has been logged in to several times over the last week. When I ask my manager, he claims some network software needed to be updated on everyone's computer last week and he had to reset my password in order to get on to my machine. It couldn't wait?, I ask. No. No it couldn't. This has turned in to a long story, but basically after asking around, the evidence doesn't support his story. What the hell was he looking for? Porn? I keep all my porn on the server and log in with HIS account to look at horsie-teenanal2.mpg. Duh.
