G1 Pre-Order Bliss
The G1 has officially sold out for pre-orders arriving on October 22nd. You can still pre-order online, but according to sources , those orders won't ship until mid-November . Ouch. So, here I sit in early pre-order bliss, as my Android G1 Google Phone is still scheduled to arrive a mere 16 days from today. Until that time, I continue to develop the ultimate Android application, play with the G1 emulator , and wait "patiently" for that much-anticipated box to arrive on my doorstep.
Questions I have been asked about the G1 so far:
1) "What is the first thing you're going to do with your phone when it arrives?"
A) I'm going to plug it in and let it charge, silly.
2) "What kind of application are you writing for your phone?"
A) Something which will help me find tasty beer at discount prices in seconds, no matter where I am.
3) "Is this G1 phone going to be better than an iPhone?"
A) I don't have an iPhone, but the answer is yes.
4) "What are you going to do with your old phone?"
A) I'm going to feed my RAZR V3 to my G1.
5) "What is Android?"
A) It's a mobile application software stack written by Google Developers. Go look it up .
