Hop Harvest Begins - Photos

Lower clamp on one of the hop poles with the mesh and plastic elbow drain

Here's the gutter clamp for the other hop pole

After the big cut on the mesh and hop stems. Now we're ready to move the whole contraption for drying.

I hung both poles up under the overhang shelter and above the pool table (covered with a tarp).

Nice photos. Since you grow hops, I thought you'd like to know that I formed a Yahoo group for discussions _exclusively_ about growing hops and related matters such as trellis design, diseases, storage, etc.; we've recruited 206 members in the first 16 days since we started the group, so this should provide a very large pool of knowledge and experience. We also have a database to coordinate the exchange of free hop rhizomes, plus lots of great links, photos, etc. If anyone is interested, please visit
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Grow-Hops
Thanks.
