Best Zombie Ever

Last night turned out to be much better than I expected. I expected bad things because Violet is getting sicker by the minute and that has made it tough for her to take care of both girls. I was preparing myself for an evening full of crazy kids driving me a little bit mad.

Anyway, after I got off work, I took Mia to Tuesday evening soccer practice. That always goes over well. Afterwards, we went home and did the evening routine thing. Mia got a bath before bed and Violet, not being able to stick around for desperate need of sickness-induced sleep, headed upstairs to lie down. I held Cannon while I rushed to get Mia ready for bed. After getting the tooth-brushing done and pajamas, Mia wanted to lay down next to her mommy. Thankfully, Violet was accommodating to that desire and I found myself holding a droopy-eyed baby, with wife and toddler asleep, just a few minutes after 8pm. What am I going to do with this sudden blessing of free time in my own house? Watch a movie, of course.

I've been wanting to watch "Shawn of the Dead" ever since I first heard about it. If you haven't seen it, you must see it immediately. Do it now. It is the best zombie movie ever. The best.

Cannon quickly fell asleep on my shoulder, which was also awesome. That hasn't happened in a while and who knows when it'll happen again.

Oh, and my Gmail account has reached half-capacity at 50%. I got mail.
