Work Week 10
So begins the last week I have at this place I call work. After much masturbating monkeying around, the decision was made to stay only until the end of WW10 (or March 4th, to you "normies"). This week will be spent trying to train somebody here how to do what I do. This is going to be tough, because it requires being able to not only read blogs for no less than one hour out of every day, but also requires the skill of being able to switch between one window looking at my jackass friend's blogs and then quickly switching over to another window which appears to have "work" stuff on it -- like MS Outlook or some other crap-oi! application. So I can be reading about another floating "Science!" head on this blog site and then [quick switch] it appears I'm just scheduling a meeting on my calendar... This is an industry skill called "alltab" or ALT + TAB. I have no idea how they're going to get by without me around.
Weekend was awesome. The amount of sun and the temperature around here is making wildlife and plants think it's not still winter in the Northwest. It even tricked me in to going out and getting some yard work done. While I was out taking care of some yard bidniz, I noticed I already have some hop sprouts doing some early spring training. Those Cascades are hard workers. Atta-boys! Keep up the good work and I'll be seeing you in the brew pot later this year.
Dave is bribing me in to putting together another brew some time soon. He's gone ahead and bought me a bad ass bundle of Bader Bucks. Which is code for: gift certificate to the local homebrew shoppe. Billy and I haven't brewed since before that primary election thing happened. A brew posse will be formed and the day of brewing will commence with all due fanfare. Prepare yourself, all ye who be interested in attending (babelfish decode pirate talk).
Since this is my last week at work, I am going to celebrate by doing something appropriately awesome every day of this week. Then, when I am at a new job next week, I will be in full awesome mode and my ass will be what all mortals will envy! To start it off right, this evening I'll be geeking out, wing & sauce style, with Dave Hog at the Fire on the Mountain wing & sauce joint. Let WW10 begin!
