Light Up The Blue And Red Map

Went to see the Misfats at the Twilight last Friday night. So long, Twilight... you will be sorely missed. The send-off from the bands that night was excellent. By the end of the night, the place was a complete disaster area. Dave, constantly smiling, starting sweeping up the candy wrappers and mashed ding dongs. I think the only time I've ever seen that guy pissed was when we (iknowkungfu) played that show at the Twilight with The Manholes and the lead singer kept trying to break pint glasses over his head. After the rest of the bands had left, Dave looked at me and said, "Man, I remember when you guys played the very first rock show here."

"Yeah, I remember that too. Good times.", I answered.

"It was you guys and The Regulars. Seems like that was forever ago.", Dave said as he stacked chairs, getting ready to close for the night.

According to the iknowkungfu show log, it was March of 2001. That's a long time to run such a kick-ass line of rock. Kudos to Dave for keeping it going as long as he did. So long Twilight rock shows. Time to go back to playing crappy hippy acoustic "shows" with special guests, the Boom Crickets. Suck.

Twilight Cafe rock shows: March 16th, 2001 - October 30th, 2004

Election day is at hand. I'm already V-O-T-E-D, so my part is done. Now, I get to go home and watch "Live Election Coverage" until it gets late. I've gotta admit, I love watching that big red and blue map light up when they score another state. I have a feeling many states are going to stay in the white (uncolored) until they get a solid vote count in. We should have an additional month or so of litigation to get thru before a clear wiener gets elected. Doesn't really matter since the Bush will stay in the WH, messing with shite until next year. Ass.

If you haven't already. Go out and vote. Unless you're voting to suck. Then you should stay at home and punish yourself with frozen meat suppositories.

Oh, and GTA : San Andreas rocks more than your milkshake. My solid 30 minutes of playing it every day is not enough, but it will have to do until I can get myself fired and live off of your tax money.
